		<description>Thanks so much for your comments!  I have been a fan of the simplicity movement for many years.  I am with you on steering children away from materialism AND the odd reactions to such a choice. I have a family member who honestly believes that the reason our children do not have Calvin Klien underwear is because we can&#039;t afford them.  It couldn&#039;t possibly be because we realize that they are just underwear .... Yes?!  :) 

I knew that the &#039;other&#039; Joneses were out there!  They had to be .... I am grateful to you for taking the time to send me &quot;the proof&quot;.

We have been driving two used vehicles, i steer my children away from materialism (to this day i refuse to get my child a cell phone).  We live simply and because we don&#039;t have shiny new things, we often feel like an outcast amongst my friends.  it&#039;s not always easy to down size but after a while you come to realize that you really don&#039;t need much &#039;stuff&#039; some of the happiest people i have met live in a third world country.  as long as they are safe from war and illness, they could care less if their house is made of out of straw. thanks for your post.</description>
